strowan is a suburb of Christchurch, New Zealand. It is located between the suburbs of Merivale (south) Papanui (north) Bryndwr (north-west) Fendalton (south-west) and St. Albans (east). It is a desirable area, featuring many of the benefits of nearby Merivale. The area is predominantly residential containing mostly parks and schools and few retail or commercial buildings. Near to both Merivale Mall and Northlands Mall. Strowan is widely considered to be a middle to upper class area in a high earner socio-economic group. One of the most obvious schools in the area is St. Andrews College.
